I got in my truck to leave the firehouse this morning turned the key on, heaters cycled turned key and since then it has no power to anything in the truck. Any ideas? This is the third time it is happened I haven't been able to diagnose it due to the difficulty of trying to get it to reproduce at a time when I am trying to figure it out.

FYI it is a 93

Check your battery connections? if they are good, start checking grounds. After that, I'm not sure. Maybe your ignition switch?

Might post in 1stGen forum for better exposure. Not everyone checks all the forums every day. I know i dont.

Checked all of it. Can't find anything, I have wiggled every wire on the truck and nothing changes. Both of the times it happened before I messed around with the ign switch area but this time it has been to no avail.

When my starter began to give out on my 89 I could take a hammer and hit the starter and it would fire right up. Also One time comming out of the mountians the truck just died and I couldn't get it started again. that happened to be the fusable link right next to the left hand hood hinge. The wires were corroded off. Also if you have a 5-speed The clutch switch on mine would come unplugged or there is a little rubber spacer that would give the switch more pressure that needs replaceing. Check those things out. I had 250K on my 89 when I sold it. lots of troublesome experiences but it was my favorite truck.
