Yes sir my truck had a bench seat to and the thing was so tore up and beat to death I just didn't want to spend the money on getting it redone plus I prefer the buckets with the console but to get detailed information and how people have done it is quite hard I guess I'm going to have to make templates and just cut mine and make it fit work I know there has to be others that have done this and have some detailed information I just haven't found a good reliable source yet at this moment but I do appreciate your help in any way thank youMine had 3rd gen seats...they cut and fabricated brackets from the 3rd gen base. I pulled it out for a factory bench...
Maryville TN 37804Where are you located? Mine is for sale, fairly cheap.
Yes that is a little farLittle far from Pa...
I got an employee that lives in Clarksville...
See the reason I went with the second gen seats was because it had the built-in seat belts I hate to seat belts in those other trucks and the first gen I hate how it comes across your neck so that's why I went with the second gen seats there was an article I read it was either on cumminsforum are one of those I can't remember where a guy actually built like a frame and it bolted to the floor and all the mounting holes and yet reinforcement what would go all the way out to the edge where it was nice then he drill holes and what he did was he cut off his brackets but left a certain part and made homemade nuts out of a couple of things it look really good and he says it worked perfect but the problem is I used to be part of the cumminsforum and for some reason it won't let me sign back in and it won't let me send anything to the administrator to find out what's going onThe PO did my seats, they cut and MIG'd feet on the front brackets (four) and only modified the two rear outer brackets...the two inner brackets were feet that just floated on the floor. The holes do not match the 1st gen seats, so you need to figure out reinforcements for the brackets for the floor. I think the biggest issues would be getting the seats level (cutting and welding new feet to make the seat sit correctly) and reinforcements for the floor.
Because they didn't attach mine to the floor in all eight points and the floor wasn't reinforced, I pulled mine and reverted to a 1st gen bench when I did the floor. I'm trying to get rid of the 3rd gen seat, but no interest.
I cant help with that but i put seats from a 05 Chrysler Pacifica in my truck, you just need to take a weekend sit your new seats in there and put them where you want them and just keep working them until they sit level then bolt them down and add metal to the under side, I used 1/4" x 2" flat steel cause thats what i had. It just takes time and lots of small adjustments. View attachment 116535 View attachment 116533 View attachment 116534 View attachment 116535
