We really don't use those to tow aircraft with, we use them to tow bomb trailers around. Wait that's even better :-laf and top speed in that thing is probably somewhere around 30-35 mph.
I saw that ad earlier, that has to be about the only B5. 9 that i have seen on the govliquidation site, either they use more of those engines than i think or there not to smart for not using them, I wished that was on the east coast close by that would sure make a nice repower for my M35 duece. Those guys don't realize what they got setting under the hood of that dodge or it wouldn't be up for sale :-laf
When I was stationed in Alaska, they used a 2nd Gen version of those with 4X4, geared really low, I think they could pull a building over. Also if you look close you'll see the rear wheels are just behind the cab, they would turn on a dime too.
I'm at elmendorf. They do have the 2nd gens but they still use the 1st gens at other bases, i haven't seen them here yet. Yeah i've drove a couple of bobtail 1st gens they do turn on a dime.
JD in my minds eye just thinking of a CC W350 dually with a 4' 6" bed on it. Reminds me of something Mattl toys would make. Or something Ed Roth would have drawn up in a sketch.
Philip, yeah, now that you mention it, you just need an 8' tall shifter, a sunroof, and some really bloodshot eyes. Have another repair day and I might come get bloodshot eyes with ya'! Just keep the torch away from my truck...
