The springs on my 1989 CTD 4x4 are a getting tired after 296,000 miles and would like to put a 1 1/2" or 2" suspension lift on it. Mostly to get it setting up again and maybe as high as a 350 sets.

Any observations out there as to who makes a good kit with new springs or add a leaves. I do not want to use any blocks.

Thanks.

Jeff

Skyjacker makes a 1" and 2. 5" lift for our trucks with the Cummins. This is what most of the guys here have gone with including myself.

You can get them very reasonably through Summit Racing (where I got mine) or any number of other vendors. Here is a link to another vendor so you can see what is available:

Just as Ken had said!

Many of use have installed the 2 1/2" Skyjacker Front Springs to increase ride comfort & level the truck. They truely do ride great!

I've only done the fronts in my truck but others have done all four corners. I believe that some have used the SJ 6" Rear Springs to eliminate the OEM lift blocks. Ask "Mickey" @ Skyjacker for his recomendations... . He knows his stuff.

I dont have the number handy but here's the website... .

Thanks

Thanks guys that looks like the way I'll go with both front and rear.

Is it worth going to the system to get rid of the rear blocks?

Just as soon as I get moved and concrete in my new shop I plan on starting on my '89 front end rebuild first and move right along to a new paint job. And make him pretty again like when I bought it at 86,000 miles and 11 years ago.

Hey Jeff!

Check w/ First Generation Brother... . "RDusch"! He has done all four corners on his W250 and eliminated the rear blocks. His truck is heavily modified and off road ready!
