Age of First Gen Owners

I know there are quite a few kids (ok, under 25) here that have first gen trucks, most likely because finances prohibit us from getting anything P-pumped or overvalved. THen there are those that like the looks of the older trucks, or the ease of maintenance. So my question is, how old are we? I realize the Pastor and JLEONARD are on the opposite end of the scale from say, me and CB Parker

Sure, if someone offered a green 98 QC 12v longbed for it... I'd take the offer. But in the mean time, I'm happy!

I love my 1st gen because it is soooo much easier & cheaper to work on than newer stuff. Although it does get frustrating trying to find parts sometimes.



There is just something about a 1st gen that will roll some smoke.

Got mine from my dad in 95. I wanted his new 95 but not the payments. Glad I got the 93 though. I have never looked back.



Like said above, nothing like a first gen rollin some smoke, and I'll add, smoking some newer trucks!

51 going on 17. How? it's simple, I just signed up for that plan that works kinda like reversed psycology. Ya see, you send them $29. 95 (plus $44. 50 shipping) and once a year you subtract 1 year from your age> And it's just that simple!!!

OK kiddies! Hate to say this but so far I'm the "old fart" here. I know there are a few out there older, we'll see if they step forward!



56 but I feel like some of you younger ones when I drive my 93. I think we'll need to find a bigger stick for the Pastor to use to keep everyone in line.



My wife asked why I didn't go buy a new truck, I told her I was having too much fun with the 93. Talked about getting a new one a couple of years ago and the guys in this forum talked me out of it. Since then, I have learned a great deal about the truck and it is just now getting to run strong.

Going to turn 24 in May bought my 93 in 98 with only 76,000 miles on it and now I am going on 195,000 runs better then it ever has. 2'nd transmission and 3'rd rear end, but other than that no problems.



So when is someone going to have another first gen dyno party?
