Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 1st gen rear in a 2nd gen ???

anybody put a Dana 70 from a 1st gen 250 (93) into a 2nd gen (94) 2500 ?

I can see that the shock mounts will need to be fabricated... & the brakes are smaller... but is the housing length the same ?

how about just swaping the internals... are the Dana 70 guts the same for 93 & 94 ???

my 94 2500 has 354 open dif, & I want to swap in the traction unit from a 93, also w/ 354's.

just swap the diff... but realize that you'll need to check backlash... it should be fine, but you gotta check.
