First, I am a third gen guy but I work on several 1st gens for people. I searched the 1st gen forums and got the Cummins and Mopar part numbers for the whole link with sockets. Has anyone found a source for just the right and left hand threaded ball sockets? In steel?

There is a post i think last year or so with all the partnumbers that used all Napa part numbers its not stock but works great .

I built my own - I found everything I needed at my local True Value Hardware store. You can find both left and right hand threaded ball sockets. I found a long bolt with the correct right hand thread, cut the bolt to the correct length and used a left hand die to cut threads in cut off end. You will have to cut off the ball socket on the engine side. This has worked just fine for the past 4 years.

I got mine from the Dealer approximately 10-years ago. Good factory parts. I'm not sure if is still available... . If you need the part number repost I'll look for the package and receipt.

I bought (1) CU3990093 & (1) CU3990094 (Cummins P/N) in Jan. 2011 for about $8. 00 ea. from Sanderson Ford in Glendale AZ. They are a Cummins authorized dealer.
