1st gen vs 2nd gen verdict after one week.

I've had my 94 for a week now, and I think overall, I like it better than my 89. It rides much better. The seats are much more comfortable. It's much quieter inside. The instrumentation is better. I like the tilt wheel, the cruise control, the power mirrors. The brakes are better. I'm getting used to the five speed. On the other hand, the 89 required less steering effort, has a much stronger bed and tailgate, the air (R134) is colder, and I like the styling better. But after a week I'm already planning to sell the 89 and keep the 94. The 94 grows on me!

Your like a dealer feeding a junkie! The wife told me this AM that maybe we should get another truck for her! I had fought off the urge but this post isn't helping matters! Good luck with your new truck. You don't happen to know how much 134A you have in your 89? That seems to make a difference in how it cools.

90%. Now if only the new bed and tailgate were as strong as the old bed and tailgate, I'd be completely happy with the 94! Of course there's other things: I can't figure out how to get the headlights out so I can clean them out. First gens don't have those headaches. But the wiring is much more accessable, as are the fuses!
