Newbie Questions - Please help!!

Well this is the 1st time that I have really put my 04 on the dyno and I really thought that I would have been in the 500 to 550 range, on my best run I made 493. 5hp and 956. 4tq and that was on 5x5 with my EZ on 4, if I turned the TST up to 7x7 the power would go to 466. 7hp and 904. 4tq and kept going down the higher the settings went. My friend put his 6. 0 liter on the dyno right after mine with the Juice turned all the way up and stacked with the Predator box on extreme and he only got 315hp and 561tq so at least I beat him because I would have been pretty embarrassed if that Ford put down more than me. So all and all I am pretty happy, but my goal is to get this pig over 700 so I guess that I need to really start looking at twins and tweaked cp3 pump. Mike
 
How do you like that turbo in your sig, how well does it handle the egt issues and what about surging or barking??? Oh yeah, those seem like pretty decent numbers to me, at least you spanked the furd.

The PSD is different with that 5 speed auto. It seemed to always need to shift. I think we are going to have a great dyno day when we get one setup.

Here's a good example of the VA/TST stack versus the EZ/TST stack. With the B1-04 I went 470hp and 1180 tq with the new TST flash 5x5 and the VA at 100% (load dyno). After the twins I went 484hp and 1092tq with the same settings. The graphs looked odd on the second set of runs with the twins installed (flat line from 484 to redline) and we were running out of fuel pressure (pre RASP). I've got the air and fuel pressure now, I just have to figure out what I'm missing that is causing me to flatline at 484hp.

Your numbers sounds accurate for a load type of dyno.

If you put that rig on a dynojet your probably going to see about a 60hp increase in my opinion.

I ran my old identical setup on a dyno jet and netted 462hp then a couple weeks later same setup on a mustang single roller dyno (tst's) and netted 426hp.



*I have not dynoed with the new turbo, cam, pusher, manifold, exhaust on the truck. I am hoping all that stuff will get me at least 20hp :D

This is a great turbo it spools really nice and keeps my egt's well in check, you can make it bark if you let off the throttle fast but you can do that with any turbo; I would recommend it. Mike

Now Bob you know that I will never really be satisfied with those numbers especially after you had David tell me how his truck did with a single charger, I think that it might have been your business plan for the year :{ :{ With that said David, just give me a couple of months or maybe just until that dyno day and it will be mono e mono my truck vs your truck then we can both have a good chuckle at what moolies truck did :-laf :-laf

So, you don't get a bark just from the transmission shifting or when the converter locks?????? Or surging when the converter locks?????
 
When you get it from HTT check it because mine was only set to about 32-35psi but we adjusted it up to 55psi, and with my TST turned up to 5x5 once boost builds up it will clean almost all the smoke but any higher settings you can still shut down any major road; on the load dyno I do not remember my egt's getting above 1550 on the higher settings of my TST which is great because with my Killer B I could peg them in a couple seconds.
