The truck did real well mileage was about 8. 5 (still under 1k) Toybox weighs 14K, pulls allot different than my 04 F350 6. 0 the Ford likes the RPM's and the Dodge does not. Still a learning curve.

Great looking rig! Your mileage will get better with time. When pulling tandem, I am at about 16k, and get anywhere from 9mpg up to 12, depending on conditions. I know a guy with the 3. 73, he gets 12 on the low side when towing similar weight.
