I've seen diesel prices go up fast before, but this is absolutely nuts!:mad: In Reno, at the Safeway where I fill up, it went from $2. 55 to $2. 99 in less than two weeks! Gas didn't go up anything like that. It's like they figured that we were getting a real "deal" paying in the $2. 50's and decided to stop it. Did diesel do this elsewhere too?

Sounds like they don't sell a lot of fuel there, although at $2. 55 they sure would have been if anyone knew about it. All the truck stops have been up in the $2. 95 range for a few months now... . Fernley, Sparks, Winnemucca -- all of them.

It's been around $2. 86-$2. 96 for the past few weeks in the Des Moines, Iowa area.

Of course with the Pemex explosion in Mexico, who knows what it will be tomorrow? :)

HOLY COW . . . you live in the West and you were paying only $2. 55 for diesel?!?!? :-{}

Diesel in this area has only dipped below $3 briefly twice since hurricane Katrina. . . be happy for what you've had! Prices recently haven't moved much one way or the other over the last two months.

It's been $2. 99 most of the summer here. A couple weeks ago it dropped to $2. 96, so I filled up. 2 days later..... $2. 99 again. Today it was $3. 03 where I usually get it.

Wow. Usually we're right near the top in prices. Must have been lucky for a while. Now we're back to "normal". I liked it better the other way!

Just found this old post. Man, I wish it was 3. 09 again! Spent $145 to fill up today at $4. 02!

I saw the thread and was like... Where the he&& does he live to be paying only 2. 99 a gallon??? Then I looked at the dateOo.
