LOL, I like to go to the post office & buy one stamp w/ a $20 out of the machine..... because it gives change in dollar coins.

Susan B's, Sacagawea goldens, they're great... . love messing w/ people at quicky marts w/ dollar coins. :)

Yeah, but they're kind've rare. I think they printed up a bunch (with Thomas Jefferson on the front and the Signing of the Declaration of Independence on the back) back in 1976 for the American Bicentennial and that's it.

They will be worth something... about 2 dollars. :-laf

Hardly worth a dime! The only thing that gives these pieces of paper any 'worth' is that they are (supposedly) backed by the US government. The more that is printed the less it is worth.

Buy gold.

If you go to Thomas Jefferson's home in Virginia, & take the tour, They give you change for your tickets in $2 bills. That's the only place I have seen them in a long time.

I just looked at some 500 1000 and gold certificates in diffrent values that were selling 2-20 times their original value depending on age and condition. I had figured the the 500s and 1000s could still be had at the bank for face value.

"they're great love messing w/ people at quicky marts w/ dollar coins..... " Only positive idea I have heard because of this :p

But if you have to carry them in a pants pocket for a while you need suspenders to keep your pants up, due to weight !!!!

Not one of the USPS better ideas for service :p
