Again, I was there years ago, I was just stating what I saw, I am not putting them down.
I too would rather be off the road. But for quality, you can only do so much, unless you are set up for the job (IE: climate controlled work area, jig fixtures for frames, good welding equipment, ect. ) A freind of mine had a Kaufman about 4 years ago, looked like one side of the trailer was MIG welded, and another guy did the other side with a stick welder.
Hey, I have owned a couple, like I said, for the price, why not!
They have a 'ligh weight' model 48' wedge that I would stay clear away from though..... I had one of those, I used it ONCE, man that was scary... . the flex in it was unreal.
The best inexpensive ones I found are Appalacian (spelling?), they are made in Ohio... . actaully a relative of Kaufman that moved away... . better welds, jig fixtures, better fit of materials, but same wiring and paint problems... about the same price.

If you don't grab that Take3, let me know, I will buy it ASAP, if it is within 1000 miles of me, really.
That is a hell of a deal, with the track, winch and all, can't beat it!!
Brands That I like: (no particular order)
Take 3
Wally Mo
Mo trailers
Ullhaul
Big Tex
Jim Glo
I want to check out Hide a Bed trailers also, but I cant find any around, new or used.
I will probably order a Mo Trailer this spring, they are the best quality and set up I have seen for a trailer transport rig, but the price for quality is about $16,000 for a 53'.
Sun Country makes a good looking one too, but I have never seen one in person
