Looks good. . Im anxious to level mine out and go to 315's but Im waiting till my puny little 265's wear out before I do anything!

I would rather drop the rear end than to jack up the front. The truck is high enough without raising it more.

Guess that is the way old codgers think after passing 60 ;)

Looks great. I am also doing the leveler kit, but i will be putting in 2" blocks in the rear. I like how the truck sits but the truck sits low in the rear when loaded. I have the airbags from airride.

Yo Hoot,

Thanks allot for the link to the instructions. I just did my Revtek leveler yesterday, and thanks to your detailed instruction with pictures I was able to accomplish the job in 1½ hours. Thankfully I didn't mash my knuckles on anything as one of your pictures showed. For anyone else about to do this job, go ahead and remove the track bar bolt while removing everything else in the beginning. It looks as though you can accomplish the install without removing it but you can't. The track bar will NOT allow the axle to drop far enough to remove the spring on the right side, not even with a spring compressor. I love the way the truck sits now, driveability is unaffected, steering wheel is perfectly straight, no front end allignment needed. Highly recommended kit.

Good Job

Nice looking truck great job with the photos wish more people could post photos, would be a more informative site. You might try the T-Rex mini packs for the rear the ride is awesome!! Good choice on tires and wheels as well!eg:D

Took me about three hours, My first time, The track bar was a pain to get re-aligned so I could get the bolt back in. Ended up using feet, hands and an iron digging bar.

With a second person it would have been a cinche. Everything else went smooth.

One bad syptom...

I noticed it added the death wobble tendancy. It DW'd on me once since I raise the front. I have since increased caster and she seems good now but I still will be looking at future preventative measures like dual steering stabilizer and possible modded trak bar.

Gents,

No matter what front end mods you're undertaking, that pesky track bar always seems to cause problems.

Here's a no-hassle way to get it lined up:

Make sure you're all finished with your task, the front wheels are installed and the vehicle's weight is on the tires. Instead of using pry bars, winches and come-alongs to wrangle the track bar in place, simply have someone start up the truck and turn the steering wheel back and forth very slowly until the driver's side stud and hole (94-02) or bolt holes (03-05) line up. You only need to move the steering wheel an inch or two in either direction to get the nut on or the bolt through. This method takes no muscle whatsoever and you'll never bruise your knuckles. Saves a lot of time and energy + the wife won't scold you for cursing in front of the kids. :)

Cheers,

Kent

2" lift and no modification is necessary to the track bar? On the Ford I had, I added a 2. 5" front lift and it came with a track bar relocation bracket.

Just wondering...

Wish I had known about that trick this weekend and the fact that the coils are different from side to side. :-laf But tell us Kent, do we need to modify the track bar?

I'd be interested to see if you notice your fuel mileage dropping at all. On my 2nd gen, I did the 2" leveling kit (along with Rancho 9000's and new lower control arms) and noticed a drop of about 1. 5 mpg on average (highway) probably due to aerodynamics. Looked good, though... . and isn't that all that really matters, anyway?! :D
