Tried to install my 2" spacers above my front coil springs and had some issues. The directions basically said remove the shocks/mounts, jack up the truck, jackstand the frame, lower the axle with a jack and then remove the springs... couldn't get enough clearance using this method to remove the springs. Tried the same method above except I used spring compressors on the springs before lowering the axle. Got enough space to remove the springs but not enough space to install the spacers. I was afraid to compress the spring any further since I still had a lot of space to make up and the whole thing looked like a serious accident just waiting to happen (spring compressors looked really, really unhappy). Called my Dodge dealer and he said they didn't have the tools to do it. Would it be best to just remove more suspension parts to allow the axle to drop further? Any help would be appreciated.

we ended up taking a lot more of the front end apart than the directions called for. By the time we got them on my truck, we had the lower control arms off, too. Got everything back together and had it aligned. I'm not sure what the minimum parts are to take off to get the spacers in. I'm pretty sure I took more things apart than I needed to, but I have heard from several people that the install was more involved than the intructions indicated.

Good luck.

I was able to do it with my 04 but I had to remove the track bar or the passenger side wouldn't lower enough. The instruction for the Revtek kit were perfect. Also had to unbolt the stabilizer bar at the end links.

On a 2nd Gen just take the shocks out comepletly, then disconnect the upper locating arm from the front axle (take the bolts out completly) and keep dropping it down with two jacks. Then just take a prybar and pry the front axle down some more, then yank the springs out (bottom first), install the spacers and reinstall the springs (top first) and button it all back up.

I got mine in by setting the truck way up in the air, removing the front wheels and letting the axle down to the floor. I even pulled the jack out. I still needed a spring compressor but there wasn't major spring pressure when it went in.

Guys,

On a front end such as ours, there is a simple process to remove and replace the front springs. It is all listed on the Kore website.

There is a complete instruction sheet available to the public. I have followed it to the letter and have never experienced any problems.

Hope this helps out a bit,

Good Luck!

Thanks Gentlemen... installed them today. Disconnected the stabilizer, track bar, and one upper control arm. :)

On a side note, what's the best way to get the back end up 2 inches now? I guess I kinda liked the back end a little higher than the front. Anyone make good replacement blocks/U bolts that are 2 inches taller?
