Just called the oldest and best suspension & alignment place in OKC. Asked for 2" lift on the front and extra leafs in the rear to get it off the overload stops. Man said if I did that there was noway it could ever be aligned right, and they would not do it. Thinking of going with D25's, but my pickup weighs about 9000#. Please chime in with info.

I did the 2" leveling spacers in the front and there was no problem with our local "oldest & best in the business shop". Suggest trying another shop after you install the parts - just bring it in and let them put it up on the rack. - MHO

2" takes a little caster away, your truck has the eccentric bushings around the upper ball joints, there is no reason why it won't align. Find another shop.

I've done it to at least 5 different trucks, never a problem. Your man must be getting lazy. The front axle movment issue is worse with some than others. I assume this is due to factory tolerances with some trucks having the axle located slightly farther right in the first place. It also has never been an issue with me, but the adjustable track bar is defanately a nice way to go. You can always lift it now and decide later on the track bar.

Some of these trucks do not respond well to changes in front end geometry, while others have no trouble trucking right along. My first 01. 5 was fine with front end leveling, however my current 01. 5 needed an adjustable track bar.

sounds like your guy is lazy or just doesent want to deal with it. might have had problems before. Ive aligned plenty lifted trucks before, Its just a matter of having enough adjustment. there isn't al that much to adjust on the front end of a 4x4 on these trucks just caster and toe. a 2" isn't enough to throw the alignment that far out of wack. keeping the stock trac bar also isnt a bad thing, on mine if you look real hard you can tell one tire stickes out a little farther but handling is still good.

like its been said it will change your caster a little and toe just a little. just have them max the caster and set the toe in. not hard to do at all.
