1. what is the deductible for the 7/70 warranty that comes with the truck & can it be "bought" down to a lower amount (if so about how much is it)?

2. are the rebates mailed back to the buyer or do they come off the agreed upon price that you will pay the dealer (dealer gets them but you get "instant" rebate)?

These are asked for general info for those who may need the info to close a deal.

Ben:

Just so happens I have my 2003 Ram Truck Warranty book in front of me:

1) a)Basic Limited Warranty 3/36 in which the following covered only for first 12/12 Basic Limited Warranty:

-brakes (rotors, pads, linings, drums)

-wiper blades

-clutch discs

-windshield and rear window

b) Powertrain Warranty covers the cost of all parts and labor needed (less a $100 deductible per repair visit at the end of the 3/36 Basic Limited Warranty) to repair a defective powertrain component listed in section 2. 2. F

c)Cummins Diesel Engine Limted Warranty begins at end of the 3/36 Basic Warranty. This warranty goes for 7/100. $100 deductible per visit applies after truck has been in use for 5 years, regardless of mileage

2) When I bought my truck the dealer kept the rebates and it came off the agreed upon price. I had to sign a form stating that this would happen. Incidentally a friend bought a 1/2 ton Hemi and got a $500 check in the mail a week later after DC changed the incentives the day he bought the truck.
