OK Guys NUTT UP - A Bullet Proof Rolls.........

How do you fight the insurance company?

I haven't posted much lately, things have been bad (to say the least).

First request: My mother-in-law is still battling complication from stage 4 cervical cancer (which she beat 18 months ago). She has been in the hospital for almost 5 weeks (the last 2 weeks in ICU). We have had several meetings with dctors asking what her wishes would be. Just when she starts to look better, bam, something else sends her back 3 steps. The doctors have not told us how long, but they have stated that it is now quality of life, not quantity.

Second request: We just brought my father-in-law into the E. R. this past Sunday night because he was complaining he couldn't see, stand, and he was freezing (even though his temp. was normal). We were told yesterday that he has a 2" tumor in hs left lung, a 1" tumor in his right lung, and he has brain cancer. As of right now, the eds they are giving him are keeping him comfortable, and he actually feels fine. We don't know what to expect at this point.

I'm lost at this point. It has been almost 8 months since my father died of brain cancer, now all of this. And to add insult to injury, I slipped 1 disk in my neck, and 2 in my back 4 weeks ago. So I've been a medicated boob lately.

Sorry for the last paragraph, but I felt I should add a little extra history.

Thank you in advance for any of you that can say somne prayers for my in-laws.

BTW, my Mother-in law is one of those people ANYone would be proud to have known. She is a wonderful woman.

Man I feel for you, thanks for sharing. May God give all of you strength. It's got to be rough but depend on God and take it one minute at a time.

Good times WILL return, the bad cant last forever (but they sure can hurt).

We're there for you, PM me for my phone # if you just need to vent. We lost a son (at 19) to cancer and wifey had it 15 yrs ago. All things come to an end, including loved ones, we just need the strength to grapple our way through.

GEORGE!!!!! Geez, I can't believe all of this. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers...

Keep your chin up. Give me or ToolMan a call if you need ANYTHING!!!!

George PLEASE if ya do need anything ... just like Mark Said.

I carry your woes. Even tho I didn't know about this until I read it, a prayer was said @ St Patric's Cathedral yesterday by myself to all those who are touched in one way or another by any illness be it man or beast to ease the sick and give strength.

Thank you all!

It really is comforting to hear all the kind words. I know of people that are in "prayer circles" where requests are made, and within hours, thousands of people around the world are praying for those in need. The TDR is a smaller version of this.

I will keep you updated on this thread, I wish you all a very happy holiday season.
