I haven't posted much lately, things have been bad (to say the least).
First request: My mother-in-law is still battling complication from stage 4 cervical cancer (which she beat 18 months ago). She has been in the hospital for almost 5 weeks (the last 2 weeks in ICU). We have had several meetings with dctors asking what her wishes would be. Just when she starts to look better, bam, something else sends her back 3 steps. The doctors have not told us how long, but they have stated that it is now quality of life, not quantity.
Second request: We just brought my father-in-law into the E. R. this past Sunday night because he was complaining he couldn't see, stand, and he was freezing (even though his temp. was normal). We were told yesterday that he has a 2" tumor in hs left lung, a 1" tumor in his right lung, and he has brain cancer. As of right now, the eds they are giving him are keeping him comfortable, and he actually feels fine. We don't know what to expect at this point.
I'm lost at this point. It has been almost 8 months since my father died of brain cancer, now all of this. And to add insult to injury, I slipped 1 disk in my neck, and 2 in my back 4 weeks ago. So I've been a medicated boob lately.
Sorry for the last paragraph, but I felt I should add a little extra history.
Thank you in advance for any of you that can say somne prayers for my in-laws.
BTW, my Mother-in law is one of those people ANYone would be proud to have known. She is a wonderful woman.
George
