I getting ready to order gauges for my 01 and was wondering if I could install 2 pyro thermocouples one pre-turbo and the other post-turbo and run the wiring through a 2-pole switch and hook them to a single gage? Monitoring pre-turbo most of the time and switch to post-turbo for shut down delay. I am leaning toward ISS Pro gages fuel press and boost also. Or does any one make a duel input pyro gauge? I have not found one yet.

Thanks,

C Cooper

Yes, you can introduce a different metal into a thermocouple connection as long as both connections are in the same temperature environment. It is called 'the third law'. Many people, even some working in this field, are unaware of this.

We used a lot of thermocouple probes in a testing (calibration) industry and everything from the TC to the readout had to be the special TC materials... no exception. I'd suggest checking the Omega Engineering site (omega.com) for switches and a lot of answers to TC questions.
