I have a local shop that will paint the lower half of my white dually for 400. 00. Does this sound reasonable?

Using a tan metallic for the lower half.

Torque this

I was also qouted $400 to paint competition racing stripes on my ram so it seems resonable. Just wish i had a spare $400

down the road a few

be well

when I was looking to purchase a new

2 tone truck green/driftwood a local dealer had an all green truck on the lot.

The price for the auto body shop down the road quoted $900. 00

to add the driftwoood rockers.

So $400. 00 seems reasonable

Oh and I ended up buying a burgundy/driftwood from another dealer

Call Jason at NWCustom and see how much those stainless steel rocker panels are with the rams heads, and cummins lettering and all that.

My diesel is driftwood so I would have to paint the top, not the bottom. I have seen aftermarket rocker panels that are OK looking. And I have seen NWC's custom panels. They are sweet looking IMO. If I had a darker color truck this is the route I would take.

Birthday present coming up, NW Custom emblems. Saw a set at the last NWBOMBer party on blue truck. Gotta have those. Went straight to the top of the birthday list. Christmas list too. Thats a bad site to go look at. Its in the links section. But dont do it.

Another option to consider is getting your rockers sprayed with bedliner material for the two tone instead of paint. I used to have to fix at least 10-20 rock chips around the wheel lips and the rockers every MONTH! I had Permatech bedliner material sprayed on the rockers in a dark grey (to match the lower bumper facia - I had the driftwood lower to begin with that was lighter) and the inside of the wheel well lips sprayed in black. Cost would be about what you are looking at, mine was $330 for the bedliner material but the truck was delivered to them with the bumpers and inner fender liners already removed as well as being mostly prepped. Since I had this done (back in March of this year) I haven't gotten a SINGLE rock chip!! #ad
You can see pictures and more information on this option on this thread - https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5704 .

And yet, another suggestion.

I had the rockers on my truck coated with 3M Rocker Panel Coating. It stays pliable and resists rocks and chips. The best part is that you paint over the coating. You can't tell it's there unless your right up on it. I've got it from the molding on down and in the door sills. Not sure of the cost because I had quite a few things done while the truck was in the body shop.

Pics are on my webpage in my sig.

BTW, not a single rock chip so far. The work was done in May.
