I have a customer interested in lifting his 06' 2 wheel drive 2500 CTD in the front 2. 5". He is interested mainly in leveling the truck and, of course, better ride quality. Any help would be appreciated.
Carli has done them for a friend of mine in a 2nd gen along with custom rear springs to match. He carries a cab over camper part time. He tells me it is a huge improvement empty or with the camper. I drove it yesteday after eliminating some small boost leaks and tuning it down a li to keep the OC smog Nazi's at bay. Nice ride.
I've got the Daystar 1. 5" spacers on my 2wd. They also make 2. 5", but Daystar also makes a general disclaimer that on some models longer control arms are needed for more than 1. 5". So I went with 1. 5"
On the 3rd gen Rams I think you could go 2. 5" no problems. I didn't even need an alignment after the 1. 5" spacers. But I'm also glad I stuck with the 1. 5's because any higher and my truck would be nose high when pulling.
