I'm sorry, I must be stupid. Please just pity me and help me out.

I've looked the board over and most all of the vendor links and can't find the 2 wheel low kits. I know Denny told me about his and I thought it was a BD, but I can't find it on their site.

Thanks for any help:confused:

Also, has anyone used the Airsep system? Or would I be best off to just extend the tube and chunk the bottle??

2 low

Chris -- Give Jannetty a call, and he'll provide the dope on BD 2 low, or call Matt at BD 800-887-5030. wait until PM they are on Pacific Time. Be very careful extending the vent tube, after reading several other posts, I checked mine and had oil hanging up in low area, plugging vent line. In the winter the thick oil could cause a seal blowout.

Did you find the bumper?

2 low

bob voerhof (sp) is making and selling a 2wd low kit. don't have his e-mail address here at home, but i can get it off the office computer in the am, if there is any interest??;)

I would like to say that there is a big difference between the BD and my 2WL kit. I am not putting down the BD kit, but all it does is shut off the vacuum to the entire system. Simple and effective but it does not give the driver control of the front axle CAD. What my kit does is add a manual valve (more reliable than an electric solenoid valve) that allows the driver to engage-disengage the front axle any time the transfer case is in 4WD, even while moving. Taking it a step further, the kit I have put together that uses the Eaton/Fuller shift knob that uses a thumb "switch" to control the front axle CAD. I am in no way an expert on our Cummins diesels but I have worked with hydraulics and pneumatics for many years and am very comfortable with my knowledge of them.

Bob Vs 2 Wheel Low

I bought Bobs 2 Wheel Low Kit and really like it. It is simple, well thought out and the price is right !;) ;) ;)

I have been using Bob’s two wheel low kit for about three months now. I tow the 5er a lot. Bob’s two wheel low kit works great, especially in those tight areas. Recently Bob has installed the Eaton/Fuller shift knob in my truck. It has the two wheel lock out kit plus a switch for my e brake.

Keep up the great work Bob.

Bob, I recently found out like you just did. you cant improve anything that was invented by the forefathers of this forum.

no matter if its better/different or not.

Yours..... better, IMO

Thanks!

Thanks for all the good info everyone. Bob, I'll check your kit out now. Looks good from what I've read.

Denny, I dropped you a note about the bumper. Thanks again for your time in Wytheville.

Hey, any thoughts on the Airsep system?

Thanks again guys. As always, very good info;)

crankcase vent

kingram:

many of us have modified the vent, by taking the bottle off. i removed the bottle and the hose--then put a long piece of 5/8" heater hose on and dumped the hose back by the transfer case. there are those on the site who warn against this. apparently at least one member had condensation of the oil in the hose back further, and was concerned it would eventually plug. i have left mine alone for now. i plan to check it at each oil change, and shorten if necessary. if you should do this BOMB, do not leave a low spot in the hose. water could pool there and freeze and block the crankcase venting. not good!

Exhaust brake first. Bov V's 2 wheel low kit next. I love it when backing up the 5vr, feet on the dash laid back looking in the mirror with plent of time to make the corrections necessary to put it where the co-pilot wants it. :D

2-low kit

Bob V,

e-mail me with your phone number and how you want the transaction to take place. I can not seem to get my messages to go through, I can receive but not send for some reason.

Thanks,

Ron
