Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 20 oz of powerservice okay????

I normally add about 20 oz. of Powerservice addative to each tank of fuel. Says on the bottle that 96 oz treats 300 gallons. That is about 10 oz for a 30 gallon fill up. I doubled that... so am I adding too much?

I never measured when I dumped it in my 99... I know I was using a lot more than it called for... in 200k, I never had any trouble with the CTD other than lift pumps...

I Had Heard Is It Fine To Put Extra In, But You Are Waisting Money At The Same Time. I Carry A Rubbermade With A Lid And Measuring Levels On The Side And Put . 3 Oz. Per 1 Gallon. So Like You Said 10 Oz For 30 Gallons. I Have Never Had A Cummins Gel On Me Doing This Method. (but Probably Will Now That I Said That).

When I bought my last bottle I just used a sharpie marker and put marks on on the side dividing it evenly for 10, 30 gallons fill-ups. That way I don't need to measure it out. Make sure you get it in the tank though, that stuff can be hard to get of your paint!

yeah i got it all down the side of my truck... been too cold to wash it off. Will it damage the paint? What is the best thing to take it off?

I am wondering myself if too much is too much, but with ULSD out I don't for sure.



What I mean by that is my truck has been getting kind of a rump-rump-rump idle until it warms up when the OAT is below about 50F. I cleaned the IAT sensor and that helped a little.



Then I started cutting back on the amount of PS I have been adding. My Snake Oil fuel additive mixture has been 8 oz PS and 8 oz of two stroke oil. Recently I cut back on the PS and began adding 4 oz PS and 12 oz of two stroke oil. Seems to have helped the idle out. Stills does it some what, but not nearly so noticable.

This is the first winter I have gotten the lopy idle as well... and the first I have really knowingly ran ULSD... I am getting a lope taht I didn't get before...

I dont think it hurts anything to run a lot of power service. . It does boost your cetane numbers as well, and helps with the lube. What you dont want to run much of is the PS 911 as it is hard on the vp44 and seals and stuff. I think it has alcohol in it, and that is what hurts all the seals, and the pump, and i dont think it has much for lube in it...

Not sure if I have a secret spot, but I found a small station last week in a commercial area down the street from my house that has still has the LSD (500 ppm)stickers on their pump. Same price as everyone else, so I go there. If they are just slow to get their stickers on I'm not losing anything anyway since they are charging the same as everyone else.

If you can afford it... ... . you can run Power Service fuel conditioner undiluted in your tank. (you might pop a wheelie though!)

I dumped a whole bottle in my tank today. I don't use it religiously. So is this gonna screw me up or will it be okay?
