I'm trying to get some help for my friend who has a 2000, 2500. Hes had the TPS replaced and wires foiled and grounded and the entire transmission re-built but still has the same problem he started out with. If he tries light acceleration from 40-50 after a slow-down on the highway from a higher speed, there is no response until more throttle is applied. It takes longer with gentle increased pressure or shorter if the throttle is pressed aggressively, then the truck will accelerate. There is no detectable unusual noise associated. Any ideas?

Sounds like Dead Pedal. Mine was doing that, even seemed a bit related to outside temperature. Injection Pump needs to be replaced, most likely, especially if the APPS has already been done.
