Looks like I need help from my friends at the TDR. As you can see from the title I am having some transmission trouble. The truck tried to do it yesterday, but when I shifted in and out of neutral it came back to life. Tonight, a totally different story. There I was going to church and the truck will not go faster than 25MPH and will shift down to 1st, but not out of 2nd.

Were should I start? the truck is in the driveway with the battery cables disconnected hoping that I can do the TPS reset.

I saw in an old post that it may be the pressure sensor for the transmission - if that is the case, can a mortal man do this in his driveway, or do I need to take it to the shop.

Thanks for the help

You can do it in the drive way, but it requires you do drain the transmission and drop the pan. Both the press sensor and gov press solonoid are right there. I have pulled my solonoid out a couple times and its not big deal.

You might want to make sure that is really what it is. Try PM'ing TRD memeber inarush76. He is a transmission guy (runs a shop in Texas, no where near you though). I will try to find a picture of the valve body for you and post a link.

Problem is back, and I did the APPS reset from DTT website where you read voltage off pin 23 and match to back of APPS.

Mike, I will give you a call again, probably tomorrow from work to find out where to get the parts.
