Maybe i am looking at everything wrong but it sure seems dodge has installed an interesting caliper bolt. Sounds like in 2000 they started a dual piston caliper and i am unable to remove the caliper bolts from the hub. They are not your common torx or allen wrench. They look like about an 11/16 head that needs a socket that will fit about a 12 sided star. I am hoping someone has done this and can tell me what kind of socket to order, i need to finish this by friday night.

Thanks

CH

IIRC it is a torx head socket, don't remember the size, may be metric? Anyway, I had to drive the socket in with a hammer and then use the ratchet to remove.

Hope this helps.

Godspeed,

Thanks, Do you remember if the whole caliper holder had to come off or am i looking at it wrong. I am not sure if you remember but there are two parts to the caliper, one that goes over the roter and then has two more bolts that look like it holds the caliper itself.

When you said you pounded it on, was this the correct torx socket or just an 11/16?
