Has anyone on the forum had a" INJECTOR PUMP" GO BAD ON A 2000 RAM 5 spd 2500 pick-up with about 86000 miles. ?? I have had a problem for about four / five months say like setting at a STOP sign of some place and try and take off quick. I get a flat spot , let off on fuel and do it again slow you can go up to 55>>>75MPH. would idle fine and then sometime in the morning's some problem starting. As long you did or don't hit it hard it works sortta ok (PROBLEM IS SORTTA LIKE NOT GETTING ENOUGH FUEL) So I had a new lift pump put on has good pressure but now it does not want to start like it should and the fuel in the injectors just sortta spit's not that big blast of fuel like they are known for. :confused:

SO I WOULD LIKE TO GET ANY HELP FROM OTHERS, ON THIS IF THEY HAVE GONE THROUGH IT? I DO HAVE THE EDGE COMP ON AND HAVE HAD IT ON FOR ABOUT FOUR (4 ) YEARS (NO WIRE TRICK TO IT) AND I HAVE TURNED OFF THE BOX IN THE PAST FEW MONTHS NOW AND THEN AND IT SEEM'S TO HELP SOME. SO ANYTHING MORE I CAN CHECK? WHERE IS A GOOD PLACE TO GET A NEW PUMP AND DOES ANY ONE ABOUT HOW MANY $$$$$$$ ? I live in a small town in SOUTH CENTRAL OR 97630???

THANK YOU SAM ( a TDR MEMBER) :eek: :{

Get a fuel pressure gauge on that thing man... . the transfer pump is the killer of the injector pump, if it is weak, you will be replacing an injector pump too no too soon after... if the transfer pump is hooped, my personal choice of fix is something of the FASS or Airdog variety. Good luck!!

I have been replacing apps sensors left and right at my dealership, make sure that your apps is good before you take a leap towards an injection pump problem.
