I went to my local 5 star Dodge dealer last week and they tell me there is no recall on my truck? Is there someway for me to make sure this is correct.
I don't think there was a recall. If so, it would be the first I've heard of. I have heard however, that there is a TSB to repair the 2000 RPM vibration. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than myself on the subject will respond.
I recently took my new '04 in for the same problem with a copy of the TSB. They advsied that '04s were not included in the TSB. They said they called the "Hotline" and they advsied that since I had an early '04 they would go ahead and have it applied to my truck. Everyone needs to take their truck in and report the situation so that it will become applicable to '04s without the hassle of arguing the point. I was ready for war!!! I believe I will still have the "drone" that war is next!
Went to the dealer yesterday and they will do the drone fix on my truck. They are also replacing the leather on the driver seat. . it really is uncomfortable due to the leather bunching up.
Just had my hose replaced per TSB yesterday on my 03' HO so your dealer doesn't know what is up. Also had the power steering pump replaced because it was leaking out the front seal. I guess I am one of the lucky ones though because I have a great dealer.
At my dealer, the TSB only showed up as applicable to the SO. It's probably just an error in Dodge's database. They have a hose on order for me anyway. They looked it up in their parts database and found the SO and HO use the same part number so it was pretty obvious the TSB applied to both.
I havent had the problem yet, noc on wood, but only got 1200 miles so far. anyway i dont know that its so much the dealers lying as they just dont seem to no much ablut the CTDs in particular!! Deffinite lack of knowledge
