2000 QC with NV5600 170K miles original clutch

On the interstate with camper in bed and towing a Jeep. About 20 miles north of Cheyenne WY truck started jerking and got noisy. Noise stopped when clutch got depressed. Pulled over had the truck towed to my daughters house in Laramie. Now it shifts all gears fine, no noise from under the truck and no jerking. I am guessing clutch but has anybody seen anything like this ? Maybe clutch overheated? Trying to get it into a shop in the net day so

Pilot bearing,or throwout bearing... . that or something happened with the Jeep in tow. May even be engine issues (check for codes).

If the clutch overheated, then it's been slipping... a lot. Is the truck stock?

I have a box from TST usually set to 3, otherwise stock. Took it in to a shop run by a friend of my daughters. (If you have to break down at least do it near family) Clutch was worn Still the noise it was making bothers me so I will drive it probably a couple hundred miles before we load it up.

Thanks for looking

Well, at least now you know.

I'd recommend upgrading that clutch to a South Bend Con OFE (IIRC) or something rated for at least 500hp.
