2000 transmission torque plate

Does anybody know if you install a hi perf. chip,do you have to add a plate to the transmission or some kind of pressure release?

If you are going to make any mods the first one needs to be a set of gauges.

I'm not sure either,I'm brand new at this. First time Diesel. So what do I need to install a chip and not go radical. I just want some more HP.
