I have a friend that is wanting to put a set of 2000 wheels on his 96. Will the wheels be a simple bolt on? If not, could you please tell me what is required to make this conversion?

Thanks,

Cody

No they won't be a "simple" bolt on. In 2000 Dodge went to 4-wheel disc brakes vs. discs/drums all previous years.

They won't clear the 13" drums in the rear. Don't ask me how I know!#@$%!

The rear disc brakes did not show up until midyear 2001.

The installation of the 2000 and newer OEM alloy wheels on pre 2000 Ram 2500's requires removing material from the exterior of the rear drums and may have a clearance issue up front when the wheels are turned fully in either direction.

The set of Chrome Steel wheels I have for sell are part number 131831 16x6. 5 inches date code 04/06/99. I think all the chrome steel wheels are the same. Snoking
