Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) How much fuel to run H1E?

I have a puzzling problem. About every 300 miles or so my engine will just die. I have traced the problem to the ecm signal to the fuel pump relay(it loses the 12v feed from the ecm to the relay and engine dies. Turn key off and wait about five seconds and crank it with the starter and it will fire right up and run fine. Engine is 2001 235 hp with hx35,275 injectors, diablo power puck, boost fooler and elbow. Any thoughts?

I think HVAC had this same problem and said it was a bad ECM. I think I remember that he just ran an new switched circuit for the pump. Contact him to be sure.

The ECM receives a “key on” signal from the relay in the PDC. When you turn the ignition switch on the relay is energized sending the 12-volt signal. My guess is that the connector under the steering column is intermittent. You might check this by letting the truck idle as you raise and lower the steering wheel. If the engine cuts out it is the connector. Removing the lower steering column cover will expose the faulty connector. I have read where there have been several problems caused by the connector because it was never snapped together properly at the DC plant.

Good luck.

THis happened to me on my ford. I would drive and the truck would die or go to idle. what I did is took off the chip and the truck ran fine. Try taking the puck off and see if it is the problem.
