2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 2001 3500 4x4 front axles

I have heard that the front axles of the 2 generation 3500 4x4 were changed to AM axels they say they are only rated for 5200 lbs, how can I determine if this is fact or fiction because if true my front axels are overloaded when I carry my camper. Thanks for any injfo.

Same truck I have. It came with a Dana 60 front and Dana 80 rear. Did you check the sticker on the driver's side B pillar? I think it has the axle weight.
