2001.5 Axles, 3.54 vs 4.10 LSD

DC says the 6 speed takes care of the problem of, "4 too high & 5 too low. " I haven't pulled anything more than about 7,500# but I'd say they did a good job with the 6 speed spacing.

The 4th and 5th on a five speed are the same as 5th and 6th on a six speed.
The prolems with the five speed are the gears below.
The six speed added another gear in this lower range to make a super nice gear for all possibilities.
The axle ratios in the last gear present the same problems in either transmission... ... .
