2001.5 CHANGES IN THE SPORT PACKAGE

While mine is not here yet, I just got back from my dealership and saw several 1500 2001. 5 Sports.

Changes:

All Sport Decals are gone.
None on the sides of the hood
None on the sides of the door

Only decal on the truck reads "DODGE" in the upper Driver corner of the tailgate.

Doors now have normal chromed badges


Additionally, where the SL/SLT Badges used to reside on the normal trucks on the B-Pillar of the cab, a plain black cosmoline badge reads "SPORT".

There ya have it.

So, still waiting for mine... .

Wonder if that applies to the 2500's too?
They were always a little different in the past too.

Yeh, mee too, I like the idea there will be no stickers at all BUT I don't want any chrome either, maybe I'll powder coat the chromebadges. #ad

I don't know, first I was caught in the May 6-speed shortage, leather shortage, June Build-out, UAW vacations, etc, etc, etc. I
was thrilled it got delayed enough to get the rear FULLY Vented, dual piston, floating DISC BRAKES! I love 'em.

I DO have one problem though, the owners manual still indicates I need to check and adjust my rear DRUM BRAKES at each oil change. #ad


You won't need to remove any decals at all unless you want to denude the tailgate. All the cab and hood stickers are gone this year and the only sport indication is a small black stick-on SPORT badge at the rear "B" pillar on each side. Saved me a bunch of time. #ad
