I would expect to replace the main harness and all the modules (ECM, wiper delay, etc. ) unless you can see a waterline where the max depth was. It might all work now. Some of it might work forever! A friend of mine dropped his new 1 ton dually crew cab into a lake a couple years ago. They parked it in a garage to dry out enough so it wouldn't freeze. Lights, radio, wipers, horn, starter all seemed to have a mind of their own, he said it was kind of freaky to be around until they disconnected the battery. (It was funny until the starter cranked).
The harness will give troubles down the road, might be hard to trouble shoot too. I think the price is high given all that (and no warrantee).
Just my opinion...

Marty,
Based on an experience w/ a buddy of mine's toyota "four skinner", there will be electrical problems forever.

We were up in Canada a few years ago whitewater kayaking and happen to camp on a little knoll next to the river we were going to run the next day. Well, the heavens opened up that evening and at about 3AM, I happen to take a look at the river an notice it was out of it's banks. We took 10 min. to load our gear (big mistake, should have left it. )and when we tried to drive back up on the road we cut a tire on the edge of the asphalt. The "toy" isn't going anywhere now. The water was above our knees at this point. Things didn't look good. It was dark, we couldn't see which way high ground was. (it was a pretty flat valley we were in and the river had come waaayy out of it banks. ) Then we see this tractor coming down the road. The farmer, in his broken french, tells us to jump in the loader bucket and proceeds to drive down the road across a bridge where the NG and fire dept were evacuating everyone. Everyone was waiting for the river to take the bridge out. So we wind up in a church waiting for the water to go down having a grand old time with the locals. Met some wonderful folks. My buddy winds up on the local TV channel being interveiwed probably w/ "Stupid american kayaker" sub titles. Later, when we could get to the truck, we had it taken to a Toyota dealer where they changed all the fluids and dried it out as best they could, put a new tire on it. No problems driving home, but about two weeks after that he started having all kinds of electrical gremlins. This went on for months, so he traded it for a Land Rover 90. He did tell them about the flood episode. It was still a great trip though. Sorry for the long post, but still brings back memories. Good times, Good times. (Phil Hartman voice over)

Dunno: it says smoke damage. To me that means it was in the proximity of a fire. In a garage or show room etc.

If you are looking for a flood vehicle just change out the fluids and bring it to the south west to dry it out. Water unto itsself will not usually do much if it is well dried. ??? How do youall dry one out when the humidity never gets below 40%?????

This brings up a question.

What does it take to clean up a flood salvaged vehicle other that changing all the fluids and serious interior cleaning? Are the electronics typically burnt toast?

TIA - Marty
