A little background on the truck. I just bought it about a week ago. The radiator had a leak and the batteries were starting to go bad. So I replaced the radiator and put new batteries in. While driving down the highway at about 60 the truck acted like it was starting to cut out. It did it a couple times and then the dashboard started acting up. The odometer said "No bus" and all the gauges stopped working. I pulled over and shut off the truck. I started it again and everything was working except the fuel gauge. I started driving and it slowly got back to where it was. Then it started cutting out again and has done that since. It's an 01 24 valve with an edge juice with attitude. Any ideas? It didn't seem to do this before I did the radiator and batteries*

I would say you have a ground problem. You need to check ALL battery connections for tightness and corrosion. Look especially at the small wires that come off the battery and go to the block, frame and body. There is corrosion somewhere that is scrambling the ecm's voltage. This can be tedious work but I think you will find the problem in the grounds.

Also completely disconnect the edge and see if there is any difference. Also there is a big connector on the firewall that has a white plastic "bale" make sure it is tight.

When I disconnected the edge it does the same thing right off the bat. no gauges and a no bus error message. It throws the following codes. P1698, P1693, P0122, P0237, P1682, P1694, and P1687 when the gauges act up. When that happens the truck sometimes runs fine and sometimes it cuts out like I mentioned before. I went through and checked those connections you mentioned and also checked the battery cables. I think i checked most of the ground wires but i will have to go back through again and see which ones i missed.

Wow that's a lot of codes. A lot of them are low voltage, is your alt. charging at the proper voltage. Also check the battery temp. sensor under driver side battery. If it is bad the ECM won't turn the alt. on. There is one ground next to the drivers side batt. be sure to check it.
