So you think you can run an excavator!!!

Any Jeep techs in the crowd? My GF's car has developed the nasty habit of filling up with water on the passenger side when it rains. From what I can tell it is running down the inside of the firewall. I'm wondering if there's any known, common problems that I could investigate and save myself the trouble of ripping the whole car apart to find the leak. Thanks for any help. :)

Just a shot in the dark(cause I really don't know). I think I remember a few guys having a similiar problem with thier ctds. Possibly a leak in the a/c housing pan or a clogged a/c drain? A search for similiar problems in the forums may lead you toward somthing useful. good luck.

Our '00 and the '01 Cherokees both have similar leak issues to yours. As best that I can determine, ours leak around the top of the windshield, follow the A post down, and then run out on the floor.

Running a small bead of clear calk around the windshield has helped slow down the leak. But, it still gets wet when it rains very hard.

There are no TSB's for the 00/01. I would remove the a pillar trim, lower kick panel and watch for the leak to show as some one holds the hose on that corner starting down low and then slowly moving the water source up,till it shows. If the leak has been present for a good while you may see trails showing with out needing to use the water. Also make sure the body drains are not plugged
