2001 or 2001.5?

This is my first post, so hello to all...

I was wondering what the difference is between a 2001 model and 2001. 5 model truck,
and how to tell them apart.
My production date is 10/00

I believe you will have a 2001. 5. That means you'll have rear disc brakes, 4 wheel anti lock, and no black moulding on the tailgate. I don't remember the other differences, but they are subtle.

If the seats are fabric the center seat under the console will not have "seat" fabric, it will be the seat trim fabric.

On quad cabs the grab handles on the cab ceiling near the tops of the front seat backs will be missing.

On quad cabs the body side moulding ends at the rear cab doors.

Most of the 2001. 5 trucks have at least one "VOID" sticker (on the injection pump wiring harness connector), some have two (on the ECM wiring harness connector).

Can't think of any more right now, I'm sure other folks will add the rest.

The rear discs are the easiest way to tell. It's a 2001. 5 if it has rear discs. I, unfortunately, am without them. #ad

I do have a 2001. 5 then. I remember how shocked I was when I looked under the back end, and saw disk brakes instead of the drums I had expected.
