My good friend has the stock 3. 5 " exhaust out of his PSD sittin around after he upgraded to the 4" system. His F350 Crew SB is exactly the same length as my rig. Go figure!

The downpipe was cut up and is 3" but flares up to 3. 5" after that and is 3. 5 all the way out. I just have to go the exhaust shop and get the Ford hangers (which I like better anyway) and get rid of that stupid hanger at the end of the pipe. Then maybe the Walker muffler (or not) All the dimensions seem to fit under the truck and takes care of the 3. 5 " system for $0...

Now I just need to get a chrome tip!!!

Anyone else tried this yet???

Any and all comments welcome!!

Geez Jason,

You trying to give your poor ole truck a personality complex? Might need some serious counselling!!! :-laf

When I was in getting the smashed tailpipe section over the axle fixed, the muffler shop looked at both the GM and Ford rear tailpipes and the GM was the only one anywhere near fitting. But, it was enough different, they finally bent their own.

I suppose you might find parts that work, but I'm going to guess you'll find that a number of things simply do not fit at all.

My 89 had a Ford tail section over the axle out of a BANK$ kit and it fit no problem. . But it was from the pre 98 trucks, old body style.

I have the drawing of the system and it will work over the axle but the muffler is a problem. There is a considerable offset from the top of the muffler at the back to the bottom at the front. But hey, its a full length of truck pipe in 3. 5" for nothing so really nothing lost.

I have yet to find anyone that can bend 3. 5" pipe, 3 only.

AS for the complex, hey my Dodge-Cummins doesn't have an identity crisis, the exhaust is the only part of the PSD I liked. :p LOL...

My other plan was for some junked 3. 5" systems from recent Dodges laying around at the performance shops.

Talk about a personality complex! How about a 72 suburban on a 1990 dodge chassis with a 1980 suburban 40 gal fuel tank and a 1994 dodge auto transmission with ford 3 1/2" exhaust after a walker muffler! My ride will be in counseling for decades. Do they make couches big enough for my burb?
