2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 2001 Quad cab doors

I can't seem to keep the rods that actuate the rear driver's side door of my truck from popping off at the door handle.



Anyone had this problem ? Any ideas on a permanant fix ?

The biggest pain in the butt is getting the door cover off with the door closed but it can be done without ruining things. I put things back together like they were suppose to be and then gave the little clip a squish with a pair of pliers and then I put a small zip tie around things to keep it snug. I've done mine twice in the last 2 years, the last time I did the zip tie thing and it seems to be working great.

Thanks, I'll try the zip tie... that's what I was thinking to do anyway, but you really need small hands to reach in that hole...



If you pull down on the top rod, and up on the bottom rod, after taking the door handle off, the door will pop right open to where you can work on it...
