I already have a Jacobs exhaust brake on my 2001. But I need to get a bigger/better turbo to keep things cool with all the extra fuel and altitude.
I have a Jacobs exhaust brake on my 2005 as well, and can't help but notice the 4" diameter of it. And the fact that you can use a phat shaft turbo with the exhaust brake.
I know that I can get the exhaust brake itself and my current solenoid setup will run the exhaust brake.
I haven't priced out just the elbow portion of the brake yet, but I know it has to be cheaper then buying an entirely new exhaust brake setup for my truck.
Of course I have to get a new turbo and exhaust brake at the same time. But that would allow me to have a new, larger, and better turbo, and still have an exhaust brake.
Anyone else done this yet?
And what other turbos can I use?
