truck is stranded, the rear pads are gone ... . like rusted in half gone ..... i dont want to have to buy new rear rotors ... ... ... anyway i cant get the rear rotors to come off the hubs,( need to be turned) are there any trucks? do i have to release the parking brake some how? thought there might be but i cant find anything.

thanks in advance guys

Are the rotors loose but just won't come off? I haven't seen the parking brake on the rear disc set up but some vehicles have a small drum built into the rear of the rotor, if this is the case and the parking brake is worn pretty good it could have a ring left from the original drum size holding it, in that case you would have to let off on the parking adjustment. bg

i got them off .....

for anyone else that might find this later when searching ... ..... the easiest way to get the rear rotors off is to hit them with a bfh ... .

there is a small machined groove that runs around where the lug studs are at on the outside of the wheel mounting surface ..... if you hit there real hard with a 3 lb mull ... . it brakes the rust loose and the rotor will start to come off
