I had a bell housing break on me and when i pulled over and put the truck in neutral the truck died. took it home replaced the bell housing and the transmission mount. thinking that maybe something in the clutch assembly like the neutral safety switch was making it not get full connection to everything. Because the bell housing was really broken bad i thought maybe the cluck wasnt engaging all the way. The engine would still turn over and not fire. I checked the lift pump up to the vp44 pump and i have fuel the grid heater is working too the thing i dont understand if it is the injector pump why hasnt it tossed a code i also check for fuel at the injectors and there is none when the lift pump is cylcing and i am cranking over the motor If anyone has had this happen before or might have something different i can try i would really appreciate it thanks

I take it you have a manual trans? If the engine is turning over the "clutch safety switch is working ( if you have a auto trans the neutral safety switch is working).

Check to see if your getting fuel to the vp44 (crack open the banjo bolt line to the supply line at vp44). If your getting fuel to the vp44 but not the injectors the vp44 is bad.

But try to crack open injectors to get air out then close again while cranking (better to use two people to do this).

Are you sure the engine is turning over while cranking, to break a bell houisng something had to be wrong.
