Coming home, about 40 MPH and the 2002 24V just died. Not a studdr, ck engine light, nada. Cranks but won't start. I am assuming it is the VP44 or other fuel pump??? 125,000 miles all stock. Only codes were P-PCU and P-DONE. THanks for the advice...
I wish I had an intelligent recommendation. How are the batteries? Maybe the alternator went and quit charging. That could stop you and prevent a restart there is not enough voltage left in the batteries.
Good luck
Do you have gauges? Is that a stock lift pump? Crack one injector line and turn on ignition for five seconds, the turn of and crank while someone looks to see if fuel squirts out. When is last time fuel filter was changed? Is it stock?
Could be a Crank Position Sensor. When these sensors die, they typically leave no codes, and the engine just quits. It is easier replace and costs significantly less than a new VP44.
