Well after 185,000 miles I thought I needed to just do something to my Diesel truck. I was having no problems but just wanted to do some PM. I purchased a new Gates belt, tensioner and water pump from Geno's Garage. Work went well and in a few hours cranked her up. The belt rode up on the AC pulley and chewed up one rib. The Gates tensioner appeared to be a little misaligned. Took it off and checked it out and re installed. Everything seemed OK but did it again. Purchased a new OEM pulley and put it on the stock old tensioner. Cranked up and ran great and no belt problems. Anyone had this problem. I still have the new Gates tensioner but may use it for a weight on my fishing line.

Contact Geno's They should make you whole again! And they will want to fix what ever created the wrong item to be shipped. SNOKING

I did the same PM at 100K with the same parts from Geno's. You may have just got a bad part. I would all and talk to Andy at Geno's as Snoking suggested.
