I would like to upgrade my high and low bulbs in my 2002 Dodge 2500. I do not want to change out the entire light or wireing, but just the bulbs to get more light. Any suggestions?
LMC truck sells a xzenon direct replacement (29. 95 + shipping, 30% brighter) I've been runnig them for two years, much improved visability, try the bright light kit from GENOs, it allows you to run hi+low beams at the same time.
Here is the link to a website where you can read until your hearts content about the truths and myths of various types of lighting. He has some good suggestions on types out there which are highly recommended. Also which ones not to waste your money on.
There are a few brighter bulbs out there: GE Nighthawks and Osram Silverstars (not to be confused with the Sylvania Silverstars which have blue tinted glass). Brighter bulbs tend to burn out sooner.
I ordered the xzenon hi and low high intensity bulbs with HD wireing harness kit from LMC last night. I guess we will see what $108 will get you these days. I guess it is about time to spend a few dollars on the old 2002 on something other than LP's.
you may want to think about buying a FASS or RAPTOR pump before you have to spend BIG bucks on a IP remember, you don't need brighter lights if the truck is sitting in the garage having the injector pump replaced!!!!
