2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 2002 Silencer ring

Hey fellas,

My brother just bought a 2002 2500, can someone tell me if the silencer ring removal is the same as on an '04 or '06. Same goes for the baffle. Thanks

I can't help with the comparison but the 02 doesn't have a baffle.



Just pull the air tube to the turbo off. The silencer ring is visible now and held in place by a snap-ring. The hard part is finding the ring gap in the turbo housing. Once you do, use a very small straight blade screwdriver to work the snap-ring out.

sound only... some people like the beautiful song that the turbo makes, me, I very much like it as well, so my turbo is missing its silencer as well! :-laf
