What are the engine horsepower ratings for a 2002 standard and HO engine? And were the HO engines available with the 5 speed trans?

Also, were the transfer cases on the 2500 gear or chain drive?

HO engine (also known as ETH - 245 HP and 505 ft/lbs torque



Std engine (also known as ETC) - 235 HP and 460 ft/lbs torque.



HO only available with 6 spd. Late 2003 it became available with the 48RE automatic. Shortly there after, all engines became HO's.

Ive got an 02 HO. Pretty sure its an HX-35, stock turbo that hits 33 psi at highway speed. Anybody know what size housing it is stock like mine?

It should be a 12 cm.

Thanks everyone for the info. I have a 2500 2002 5 spd spotted in mint condition I may try to deal for. Anyone interested in a reg. cab 3500 6 spd???
